The temperatures approached 60F today… InJanuary! That’s crazy and my friend Pati is probably going nuts. In her opinion, it’s not winter without cold and snow. She’s from South Dakota, so she would know. Me, I am going to enjoy this brief respite from winter’s wrath.

This used to be a massive printing plant full of huge presses. Now, it is used as a storage facility. Slowly the building has decayed over the decades and it is in the process of being torn down. All that junk? Old Harley Davidson spare parts going back to the seventies. You name it from tires to gas tanks. Such a waste.

That’s my sister and I using Dad as a jungle gym while he’s trying to read something technical and uninteresting to the two of us. Kelly and ire are rocking those footed Jammie’s while Dad is sporting a classic ensemble of cuffed cords, fancy socks and penny loafers. Mom has always ensured that he dressed well. After all, he is her trophy husband. Isn’t that so Dad?
Who’s idea was the hat?
The subject of this month's Exploring with a Camera is the lights of night.
As a reult, I have been keeping my eye open for any intersting night light scenes and have come up with a couple of new ones as well as some older shots.
Of course, I am just as likely to creat one from whole cloth when I feel the need. The image above is just such a figment of my imagination, as it was shot in broad daylight.

Some people are very interested in art while others could care less. It must be tough visiting an art museum when one of you is bored right from the start. I am an art lover and can spend hours in any of the many art museums around Ohio. This photo was taken on a recent trip to the Cincinnati Art Museum with my friend Jim Nash and his sons. It’s a good thing that all of us were enjoying everything the museum had to offer. Otherwise, it would have been a very long day, as I suspect it was for the gentleman in this image.

This image was taken this past weekend in Cincinnati, at the Museum Center. This was a particularly nice photo outing with stops for a great burger and beer at lunch, the Cincinnati Art Museum, and the Museum Center to see the trains and the Dead Sea Scrolls. I’ll be surety share more images from the day in the next few posts.

That's me on the right, the last time I was in charge. My younger brother is in the middle, still wearing a back cast. My older sister is on the left. Aparently, she had something tasty on her fingers.
I had an assignment on another site that required me to post some images of myself, when I was young. I knew which one I wanted to use, but it took me a little while to find it on a little used back up drive. To be honest, it took me a little while to find the back up drive.
As usual, when I finally gave in and asked my wife if she remembered seeing the drive, she reached out and plucked it out of thin air. I think she has a little magic running throuh her as she does this all of the time. She even teased me about it. "What are you looking for? You know I'll find it right away."
And, she did. She is the boss of me now.
