I know that this is obvious to any married woman. However, I think it bares noting that inside of every grown man is a ten year old boy with a ten year old sense of humor.
The middle of June saw the June ball and you know I had no choice, I needed to be there. The gowns and uniforms were gorgeous. So much so that I thought you might want to see the spectacle in color.
That, my dear readers, is the Virginia Reel in full color. Told you that you would want to see the color version. It's almost as if I could read your minds.

It's been a while since I shared a great music video with all of you fine people. Here is a particularly beautiful one. Wait for the change at 2:50 and be prepaired to have your trippy little minds blown away. Good stuff.
I took this image Sunday morning during a dawn drive through our local farm country. When I saw this cloud formation, I stopped the car and got out, camera in hand. The contrasting tones and the shape of the cloud front were what impressed me.
However, being a photographer, I couldn't settle with the beauty that I was looking at. The colors and light were not enough. I wasn't satisfied.
I wanted to see it in black and white. I knew that those tones would be spectacular in B&W. Sometimes color can get in the way of a great image, even when it is gorgeous. So, as soon as I downloaded the pictures, I made the conversion.
What do you think? Have you ever looked at a scene and just knew that it would make an impressive B&W image?
This morning, I woke early, packed the car full of camera gear and headed out for farm country. If that sounds like hours of driving, I need to be honest and tell you that it was only 15 minutes before I was deep in the farms.
The day was with me. The clouds were interesting, the sun was just coming up, and the grain was indeed amber. I hope you appreciate that I rise very early so that you can see sights that normal sane people don’t get up early enough to see. I’m good that way. You can thank me the next time you see me.

If you noticed that I tookt eh last couple of days off from posting on this bolg, it's because I have been out shooting and that in turn means wading though a lot of images that need to be processed. On the upside, that also means that I have a lot of new images that I am eager to share with all of you good folks.
For today, enjoy this image taken in the English Garden of Stan Hywet Hall, in Akron, Ohio last Sunday. The overcast day made for some tough low contrast lighting conditions, but it was a great place to visit and I've done my best.
