Go Now

Carriage-Hill-04893

The world is out there for you to discover on your own. There are wolves, yes, but there are also pastures full of spring grass and the chance that you will find a flock of your own.

It is your life and I can’t walk beside you. Think of what you’ve learned. Be careful, but do not forget to live. Be strong and be kind. Don’t be afraid to lose your heart.

I will come when you need me. When you need a place to lick your wounds and rest, you are welcome home. But it is time and you must go.

Please go now, before I lose my courage.

  1. I agree with Wendy. It’s what a mother thinks when her child leaves home to start their own life. You can almost see the doubt in the eye of the sheep. “Am I doing the right thing? Am I ready for this?” 😊

    1. Thank you, Liz. I love photos that tell a story. This one made me think of leaving on your own for the first time. You look back to get some confidence or say good by. Meanwhile the person you face is also struggling. So I imagined what it would like to be the parent. I like the way this one turned out.
